About The Attention-Deficit Manager

In 2005, at the tender age of 35, I was diagnosed with AD/HD, inattentive type. That same year, I was promoted to Manager of my department.

This was actually my second try at a management position; in 2001 I was given a faily well-paying managerial position–and failed miseraby. When I interviewed for the job, I knew I had the skills and talents to succeed. But not knowing how to manage myself with the condition of AD/HD, I fell on my face after a year and a half.

But now, after my diagnosis — with some education, understanding, and good use of technology, things are going very well. Sure, it has been a daily struggle, but I’m winning the war against my so-called “disorder”.
